Fireworks

Hello all! The city of Enterprise has a children's festival every year. And so, since we had been hearing how wonderful it was, we decided to head on over to it this year. We went with our friends the Alberts. It was so hot on Saturday plus with at least two of the little ones needing naps, we decided to go after an early dinner. As we pulled up at around 530pm it started to sprinkle and then downpour. We sat in the car trying to wait it out but as the bouncy houses started to slowly deflate and the ponies were loaded back into their trailors, we knew we had no chance!! So we headed to Smoochies for some ice cream!! Since they were having fireworks at the festival we decided to head back over to so our day wouldnt be totally wasted. And in the light sprinkle of rain we saw some fireworks!! Tyler and Katey thought they were too loud but enjoyed them. (Katey sitting on my slowly diminishing lap!) Here are a couple of pictures.

Playgrounds and Go Carts

Well, yesterday, we actually had a nice day!!! Very little humidity and a cool 88 degrees! After the 100 degree days it was quite enjoyable. So we headed for the playground, where we found our neighbors, JJ and Nickyla riding JJ's new go cart!! JJ turns 8 on Saturday. Well, Tyler was a little nervous but he wanted to do it. I was really nervous but Ryan is always telling me to relax and let him be a boy. So, since he decided he wanted to do it and they had helmets and seat belts, I let him go. He had such a great time...he wanted to do it again and again! I am still scared to death letting him ride with an 8 year old but they were in a big grassy field!! Thank goodness, Katey wanted no part in it!! She just played on the playground and watched Tyler zoom around in his first go cart ride!!

Dance Party

I don't know what it is but my kids LOVE to dance!! After visiting Madie and Maesyn (Madie has a CD player in her room), Tyler kept asking me to get the CD player out of Katey's room and put in his so he could listen to music. So, I found him a Kid's Bop CD and moved it. He turns it on everyday and they have a ball singing and dancing. It is so funny!!

Baby #3

Lately, I have been feeling this baby kick and move around a whole lot. It is just amazing!! I feel like it is early but maybe not. Since last Thursday, you can even feel it from the outside. I let Tyler feel it and he was so excited. I tried to get Katey to feel it but I think it took too long for her. Because after a few minutes she just looked at me and said "I felt it Mommy!" with a big grin but I didn't feel a thing. So, I guess I will wait for it to get a little bigger for Katey to feel!! I am looking forward to find out the sex....July 10!!!! I am getting so anxious!! I will let you all know when I know!! :)

Mud Puddles and Rain Boots

Today we had another typical rainy afternoon thunderstorm. I feel like I am back in FL. After the storm was over and we finished dinner. The kids HAD to go outside and play. Once we were out there they HAD to put on their rain boots and splash in the puddles!! Surprisingly, Tyler is much more reserved in the dirty aspect of it all. Yes, he will jump and splash through the puddles. Katey though decided to sit, yes, sit in the puddles! She was covered with grass and dirt and water. Bathtime followed all of this fun!!

Gymnastics

Both Katey and Tyler are enjoying their gymnastics class here at Fort Rucker. Their teacher is excellent!! She just loves them. She even wants Tyler to move to the 5 year old class and Katey to the 3 year class because they listen so well. They must have selective hearing like their Daddy because most of the time they can't hear me yelling at them!!! :) I can't believe how strong they are. Especially, Katey!! Since she is only 20 lbs, you would think she wouldnt be as strong as she is!! But man, we might have a little gymnast on our hands like her Aunt Melissa was. Tyler does a great job. They both love swinging on the rings, the bars, and love jumping on the trampoline!! Check out the slide show for pictures of them at gymnastics!!

Ponytails

Katey's hair is finally long enough for ponytails and she looks so cute. And she wants me to put one in her hair everyday!! After I put it up she HAS to look in the mirror to see how it looks!! Such a girl!!

FSU Baseball

Hey there, we recently went to the Regional Baseball game for the Seminoles. It was actually lots of fun. Tyler, of course, was so into it. And surprisingly so was Katey she was clapping and yelling,"Go Seminoles!!" It was extremely hot at first but then started to cool down because of a storm. Oh, and Tyler loved that so many of the players were named Tyler. He felt special and left saying he was going to be a baseball player when he grew up. We left during the 5th inning because of a rain delay and drove past the new Medical school. It is beautiful!! And Katey decided she would be a doctor when she grew up and of course, a mommy!!! She honestly said that!! Take a look at the pictures from outside the ballpark...yes, I forgot to bring my camera in!!

Mongomery Zoo Trip

Hello all! We went on a fabulously HOT trip to the zoo on Saturday with Nana and Gumpy. They were in town for Ryan's graduation from Captain's Career Course. We all loved the zoo. Katey especially loves the monkies and the elephants. They have a baby elephant so she was in heaven! Speaking of elephants, they surely put on a show for us. As Linda said, "It is a good thing Tyler and Katey don't quite understand what they are doing!"

Tyler loved the snakes, such a boy, and the mist sprayers they had all over the zoo. He stood in there so long he came out dripping water!! It is quite hot here in Alabama already so I am not looking forward to this summer especially being pregnant! Yuck!! Guess I will be sitting in the kiddie pool with the kids! Check out the pictures to the right of our trip!

Welcome!

Hello all! Since the kids pages got deleted and not everyone can get onto myspace. I decided to make a page so everyone can see what we are doing. I will be able to post pictures and let you know what we are up to. I will try to update it weekly/biweekly so keep coming back to see what our growing family is up to!
