Picture Time

On the way to Katey's preschool we pass Austin Peay State University and once spring time came around, I kept noticing how beautiful the campus was. So, I begged Ryan and one weekend we just walked around and took pictures of the kids. I think I got some pretty good ones and the kids had a blast enjoying the gorgeous weather and running around.

We have had a couple of 85 degree days this spring and Katey and Jake have really enjoyed playing in the sprinkler!! Jake absolutely LOVES the water and we can't wait until our trip to FL for Memorial Day to hang out at the beach and the pool!!

Tyler and his soccer

Tyler is enjoying another soccer season. He LOVES this season the most since it is the first one Daddy has got to see and Ryan is even the coach. Tyler is getting must more into the game and we enjoy watching him. And as you can see Jake can't wait to get into the action. His last game is May 1 and we plan to have soccer cupcakes for his birthday with all his teammates after the game!!

Family TIme

Trails and the Nashville Zoo!!! We have had lots of family time doing fun things like trips to the Nashville Zoo and to the Greenway Trail. The kids loving being outside and we are sure enjoying this spring weather!!

Trip to St. Lucia

Ryan and I had a marvelous time in St. Lucia in January. It was great to relax just the two of us and reconnect after a year apart. We got massages, went zip lining, lots of sightseeing, and just realxing on the beach. It was also great to get out of the cold TN weather into the 80 degree caribbean!! :)

Katey turns 4!!

On January 17th, Katey turned 4!! I really can't believe it!! She is just growing up so fast. Of course, she had her party with a bunch of her preschool friends at Action Gymnastics!! She had a ball jumping on the trampoline, leading stretches, and doing the obstacle course!! Nana and Gumpy were even here to enjoy the action!! Katey loves gymnatics and has even recently moved to the Mighty Mights class, which meets two times a week! She is loving it and even walks on the big balance beam and does some bar work all alone!! It is wonderful to see her face light up when she accomplishes new tricks. We are proud of our little girl!!

Wow!!! Its been a long time since I updated the blog!! We have had lots of fun with Daddy!! It is great to be together as a family. Right after Ryan got finished with his reintegration classes we headed down to FL for Christmas with our families!!! Here are some pictures....

Little Army Man

Ryan is FINALLY HOME!!!

After over a year in Afghanistan, Ryan FINALLY made it home yesterday at 930am!! The kids and I are so excited to have him home and are extremely proud of him!! Welcome Home Ryan and all of the 159th soldiers!!

Christmas Tree Farm

We cut our very own Christmas tree today. It was my first time and it was fun. The kids had fun looking for the perfect one and of course all had their favorites but we all know Mommy got to decide!! :) Ryan did a great job of cutting it down!! It was really hard...I barely made a mark when I tried. Great Job Daddy!!

Jake's First Haircut

Jake got his first haircut today!! He really needed one for awhile now but we were waiting for Daddy...and since Daddy is home we went and got it done!! He did sooo good. Only got upset a couple of times but some goldfish and a lollipop cured that!! He doesn't look like a baby anymore!!

Happy 1st Birthday Jakey!!

I can't believe my little baby is already 1!! He turned 1 on Nov 6th. We went down to FL for Melissa baby shower and the day we flew down was Jake's actual birthday. So, he went on his first plane ride on his 1st birthday!! We had a little cake with my family. We are probably going to have another little party when Daddy gets home!!

Jake finally found the courage and stood!! This was the longest he had stood at the time. Now he is FINALLY starting to walk. He still chooses crawling over walking but he is getting much better at walking everyday!! I can't believe my little man is already 1!!!

Beautiful Fall Weather

We have had some beautiful fall weather up here in TN the last couple of weeks. We tried out this new trail and we had so much fun with our friends the Singletons!!

Jack O' Lanterns and Halloween Parties

The kids were so proud of their Jack O' Lanterns. I took the easy way out and used cookie cutters instead of a knife so it went much faster but they were still so proud!! Katey also had a cute with Halloween party and her class sang some cute little songs. They did such a great job!!

Gymnastics

Katey is doing great in gymnastics. She loves going and is turning into quite the little gymnast. They even want to move her up to the "mighty mights" class. This would mean she would go twice a week!! I told them we would wait for Daddy to come home to make that decision. She also wants to play soccer in the spring so we shall see. We are definitely very proud of her!!
