Too Cute

Katey did the cutest, most grown up thing ever last night. As many of you know the packers have been at our house the past two days. And Tyler is a big time night light fiend. Being the wonderful mom I am :), I pulled the night light out and put it away so they would not pack it. Last night we got it out to plug it back in and what do you know but the bulb burnt out!!! Then came the panic attack from Tyler. Crying and yelling and carrying on!! Well, Katey was standing there in his room and she says, "Tyler, you want my nightlight?" Tyler, of course says, "yes!" So I ask Katey if she is sure she wants to give hers to Tyler and I explain to her that she won't have one then. Being the big girl she is she says, "I don't need one!" And she ran to her room and helped Daddy get her night light out and gave it to Tyler. We told her how proud we were of her!! And Tyler was so grateful telling her Thank you!! She then went to bed and I gave her the biggest hug and kiss (of course I am so emotional from these hormones so I was all teary!!) And as I left I said I will leave your door open a crack so you can see a little and she just laid there and said "Ok, Mommy, Thank you!"

She can be the sweetest little girl when she wants to be!! :)

Our Last Trip to Destin Beach for awhile!

Since we are moving up to Fort Campbell next week!! Yikes!! We decided to go down to the beach one last time. It was a wonderful day besides the jellyfish in the water. But the water was so clear you could see where they were and not go near them!! The kids had so much fun running in the waves and building sand castles...we are really going to miss Destin and its beautiful beaches!!

Fishing at the Lake

Ryan has been taking the kids fishing lately and Tyler absolutely loves it. Katey I think goes for the playground after the fishing but she still has fun. Well, Wednesday night Tyler said I just had to go to watch him catch some fish!! :) And he didn't disappoint....I think he caught 5 or 6 fish!! They were just little ones but pretty good for a 4 year old with no help except putting the bait on his hook!! Here are some pictures I took from our fun time!!

Katey and Big Girl Gymnastics

Katey started 'big girl" gymnastics today!! No more Mommy and Me. She wore her new tutu leotard her Aunt Melissa got her. She was soooo excited!! She went out all by herself and according to the teacher did really well. Katey just wanted to know why they couldn't do rings all class!! We are surely going to miss her teacher Mrs. Shar. She is so good with the kids and just loves Katey! At least, we get to try the big girl gymnastics for a month. We will be looking into it at Fort Campbell since Katey loves it so much. "Stinky Booty"

I just had to tell you all the funniest thing....Katey just LOVES all the princesses since we went to Disney World last month. She likes to name them all...Well, I bought a tissue box with the princesses on it. And she was pointing to them all and naming them. I heard "mermaid', 'snow white', 'jasmine', 'cinderella' and then I heard her say "stinky booty". I was like "what?? Katey??" And she just kept repeating "Stinky Booty". So, I looked down to see what she was talking about and she was pointing to Sleeping Beauty!!! She continues to say "Stinky Booty" and laughs beause she knows I think it is funny but I don't think she knows why I think it is funny!!

Our New House

Hello! Sorry it has been awhile. Just trying to get back in the swing of things here at Rucker. We had a garage sale to lighten our load for the move this morning. This guy showed up at 5:20am this morning!!! Ryan was just setting the stuff up!! I guess the early bird gets the worm but that is just too darn early!!

Well, last week we went up to Campbell and found a house!! We are super excited. It is still getting built but the builder said he would easily have it done for us by Labor Day weekend. We close on August 29th if all goes to plan. Here are some pics our realtor took. They just put the driveway in and countertops in the kitchen this week. The plumber comes on Monday and the floors are going in Tuesday and Wednesday!! We are going to have hardwood floors in the kitchen!! So about the house....it is 4 bedrooms plus a bonus room, 2.5 baths, dining room, family room, and a huge kitchen. Nice and big for our growing family. Enjoy the pics!
